13 Degrees Left of Center

OK so now that I have posted how to use a turn signal in your car, we can now talk about the etiquette of using your turn signal and changing lanes.

When driving down the road and you need to change lanes don’t just flip your turn signal on and then start to move over.

A single car length between two cars is NOT enough room for you to change lanes into that spot.

Don’t put your turn signal on and then just start to move over and expect the other cars to slow down and let you cut them off.

Plan a head.  If you know that you need to take an exit, don’t wait until the last minute to change lanes to get to the exit.

Don’t try to cut all the way across the freeway with your turn signal on and expect everybody to get out of your way.

When you put your turn signal to change lanes you are asking the other cars to let you in.  They are already in that lane.  They have the right of way.  They don’t have to slow down and let you in.  If they do, then they are being nice.  Give them a wave thanks.

Leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you when changing lanes.  The last thing you want is for the car in front of you to hit their brakes and then you rear end them.

And most of all be patient.

So we have been asked why 13 Degrees Left of Center.  When I first met my soon to be step father in law we all had gone out to a shooting place in Shelton WA.  You know, the back woods.  We had been out there for a while and her step dad said “You know Tim?”  And by the way, FIL stands for Father-In-Law,

Here is how the conversation went

FIL – “You know Tim?”

Background noise,  Bang…bang bang bang….Bang

Denise – “Umm Yeah”

Background noise,  Bang…bang bang bang

FIL – “Tim, he is a little bit left of Center”  Really Long Pause  “I like that”

So that is how it began.  We have never been accused of being Politically correct.  In fact just the opposite.  We have our views and they are only ours.  You don’t have to agree or disagree with us.  We don’t want to discuss politics or religion, but if we have something to say, we will say it.  This is a FREE SPACE to feel and say what you want without judgement or retribution.  PLEASE NO PROFANITY

Yes that is right.  The Seahawks are going to the post season once more.  One can only dream of another Superbowl.
